The hotel is commonly used by cruise passengers. In 2015, a study by Port Everglades reported that the hotel hosted 11% of all passengers surveyed.

History
The hotel was renovated in the winter of 2014, and again in the summer of 2016.
In April 2014, the hotel opened Marina 84, an adjoining restaurant and sports bar. In 2015, the hotel began offering day rooms in the Fort Lauderdale area.
In 2017, the hotel was reviewed by Eat Sleep Cruise. The magazine ranked several hotels in Fort Lauderdale for their proximity, amenities, and performance as a hotel for cruise passengers at Port Everglades.
